“Established in November 2016 with 14 members our walking football group has seen an increase in membership to a healthy 78 people, we currently run two sessions on Mondays and Fridays at Bedworth United AFC, the group ranges in age from 51 years to 76 years (M/F).
In 2017 we were delighted to be awarded The Community Impact Award for the areas of Coventry, Solihull and Warwickshire (CSW Sport) in recognition of the work done to improve the physical and mental health of the 50 plus age group, we also were nominated for a West Midlands Energize Community Award. We participate in monthly WF fixtures vs other Midlands teams in a league under the guidance of Birmingham County Walking Football League and play regular friendlies.”
